The invitation

Why rest, and why here.

We are taught to earn our stillness. Yin unlearns that. Over ten unhurried days on the Tevana House Reef, you slow the body to the pace of the tide — long-held postures, quiet meridians, breath that finally lengthens.

This is a certification, but it moves like a retreat. You leave with a 50-hour Yin credential and the deeper thing — a nervous system that remembers how to soften. The reef does half the teaching: turquoise water at your feet, no schedule but the sun, and the salt air carrying every exhale out to sea.

A day by the water

The rhythm of stillness

No two days are identical, but each follows the tide — dawn quiet, deep practice, long rest, evening study.

Dawn

Sea-mist meditation

Wake with the tide. A silent sit on the reef deck as the water turns from ink to turquoise.

Morning

Pranayama & long holds

Breathwork, then deep Yin postures held for minutes — sinking into fascia, meridians, stillness.

Midday

Nourish & rest

Plant-based lunch, hammock hours, a swim off the house reef. Rest is the practice, not the pause.

Evening

TCM theory & yoga nidra

Meridian study, philosophy circles, and a candle-lit nidra that dissolves the day.

50-hour certification

The curriculum of softening.

A complete Yin foundation — the philosophy, the anatomy, the energetics and the touch. Open to all levels; no prior teaching experience required.

Traditional Chinese Medicine

The philosophy beneath Yin — the five elements, organ meridians, and the energetics that shape every posture.

Meridian theory

Map the body's channels and learn how targeted Yin holds move Qi, release fascia and restore flow.

Meditation & breathwork

Pranayama, silent sitting and yoga nidra — the inner technologies that make stillness a skill.

Acupressure

Hands-on point work to deepen release, support your students, and read the body's held tension.
